Getting Started

How to open Typing Master, run your first timed test and read your WPM, accuracy and error stats - no install or account.

Typing Master is a free, browser-based typing speed test. Open it, start typing, and your words-per-minute (WPM), accuracy and errors update live - there is no install, no account and no "Run" button to press first.

How to use it

  1. Go to https://typing-master.unisoftware.app/
  2. Pick a mode from the Test tab: Timed, Words, Quote, Code or Custom
  3. For Timed mode, choose a duration: 15s, 30s, 60s or 120s (30s is the default)
  4. Click into the text area (or just start typing) to begin - the timer starts on your first keystroke
  5. Watch WPM, Accuracy, Time Left and Errors update live, with Raw WPM, Net WPM and your current Streak shown alongside

No account, no install

There is no sign-up and nothing to install - Typing Master runs entirely as a web page, and its Settings panel confirms everything is stored only in this browser. See Test Modes & Settings for the full list of modes, durations and languages, or Privacy & Data for exactly what stays on your device.

Choosing a language

The language selector in the top bar offers 7 options: English, Urdu (اردو), Hindi (हिन्दी), Spanish (Español), French (Français), German (Deutsch) and Arabic (العربية). Switching language changes the test text itself, not just interface labels - Urdu and Arabic also render right-to-left.

Keyboard shortcuts

While typing, press Tab to restart the current test, or Esc to stop early. Press Ctrl+? at any time to open the full shortcuts reference.

Day streak

A "Day Streak" banner on the Test tab tracks consecutive days you have taken a test, starting at 0 until you complete your first one - purely a personal habit tracker, stored the same way as everything else, locally in your browser.

Where to go next

Once you have a baseline WPM, try the structured Learn Mode lessons to build accuracy from the home row up, or head to Race Mode to test your speed against three AI typists. When you have a result you like, turn it into a downloadable certificate.
